Learned a Fundamental Drastically Improving Lyricism
I've been writing lyrics for a lot of rap songs, and I've always felt off about some of them despite how they have functional rhymes, a coherent theme or statement, and the same syllable count or at least a syllable count that works with the beat. I finally discovered what's going on.

Hooray for small victories!
I'm proud of myself, and have this class to thank! It's nothing huge...but thanks to ear training, I was able to figure out that one of the common chord progressions I hear in rock/metal music is i-VI-VII-i, without even having to look it up!

Book 3 of 5 of my next monster 5 books in 1 project rough draft done! Books 4 and 5 are the shortest in the series so will knock out fast. Stoked!
